Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
